Lewiston’s only home and garden expo returns at the Nez Perce County Fair Pavilion from March 14th to March 16th, hosted by 101.5 Cat-FM and Dailyfly Media and sponsored by P1FCU and Rogers Toyota.

More than 150 booths will showcase home improvements and offer free entry with donations (canned food items and a discount coupon) to support local food banks.

The Idaho State Police announced Mike Mooney’s promotion from lieutenant to captain to oversee District 2 operations in Lewiston — he replaces retiring Captain Rich Adamson who has served for decades.

Today the Lewiston Fire Department promotes Kyler Nilsson to captain and Jacob Waits to engineer — while hiring Turner Webb as a full-time firefighter.

Nilsson has served as a reserve firefighter since 2013 — and Webb joined the team as a reserve in 2023.

Lewiston voters will decide on May 20 on a $25 million bond to upgrade old water pipes, wastewater, and stormwater systems to stop leaks and prevent flooding.

The city will host an open house (March 19, 5:30–7:30 p.m.) at the library so residents can learn more about the plans and how current funds will pay for the work without raising taxes.
