CULTURE NEWS

  • Lewis-Clark State College's Center for Arts + History will open a new baseball exhibit called 'The Road to Lewiston: A Journey Through the NAIA World Series + LC State’s Legacy' on April 1st; the exhibit will run until June 7th and is free to visit. The center will host a Meet and Greet Reception on April 24th at 5:30 p.m. where community members can hear from LC State leaders like President Cynthia Pemberton, Athletic Director Ronnie Palmer, coach Jake Taylor, and statistician Denny Grubb.  Big Country News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • The City of Lewiston named Justin Glenn as its new Parks and Recreation Director—he brings over 20 years of experience including a leadership role at Fort Bragg and will begin work on June 16 to manage local parks, facilities, and community events.  Dailyfly
  • The Nez Perce Tribe appointed Danae Wilson as Interim Executive Director on March 26th, bringing over three decades of experience in tribal broadband policy and digital sovereignty as an enrolled member. She replaces Jesse Leighton, who remains as an advisor, and tribal leaders have begun recruiting a permanent executive director—aiming for stability and continuity.  Dailyfly

  • Lewis-Clark State Men’s Tennis moved into the NAIA Top 25 at No. 24 on Wednesday after upset wins over then-No. 12 Williams Woods and then-No. 23 Loyola—its first top 25 finish since 2021. The team played a challenging schedule against many NCAA Division I programs—highlighting the strength of their performance.  Dailyfly
  • LC State women's team won its first team title at The Warrior Spring Classic when freshman Giulia Belfontali earned her first collegiate win with a three-stroke lead on Tuesday. Coach Zach Anderson said the Warriors beat College of Idaho by four strokes + will compete in the final Cascade Conference event on Apr. 7-8 at Southern Oregon.  Big Country News
  • Lewis-Clark State Athletics has planned a busy weekend for the Warrior Hall of Fame that will feature LC State Baseball games with the unveiling of the 2025 inductee plaques before the April 26 game and a Hall of Fame banquet later that day at Clearwater River Casino and Lodge Event Center—additional events include a Meet and Greet Reception on April 24 at the Center for Arts and History, an exhibit running from April 1 through June 7, and a Volleyball Alumni Weekend starting April 25.  Dailyfly
  • Four LC State Women’s Basketball players earned CSC Academic All-District honors Tuesday—Camden Barger and Sitara Byrd earned the award for the second time while Ellie Sander and Tatum Brager received theirs for the first time.
