GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Idaho Gov. Brad Little signed a law on Thursday that deregulates child care centers to ease the state’s shortage by lowering required child-to-staff ratio points and preempting stricter local rules (House Bill 243). • A federal judge blocked the enforcement of a new immigration law signed by Governor Brad Little after the ACLU of Idaho filed a lawsuit, saying the law could let police record a person’s documentation status on suspicion of a crime. The block stops the law for 14 days and a hearing is set for 10:00 a.m. April 10 at the James A. McClure Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse in Boise.  Dailyfly
