- ➤ Local law enforcement officers from the Lewiston Police Department — along with Nez Perce Tribal Police and Nez Perce County deputies — will bag groceries and collect donations at the Lewiston Grocery Outlet on Thain Road from 4 to 7 p.m. on April 14, and proceeds will benefit Special Olympics Idaho athletes. - ➤ Lewis-Clark State College honored nine faculty and staff members with awards at its Employee Recognition Ceremony on April 3rd at the Williams Conference Center (administrators announced winners for categories such as outstanding teaching and excellence) and celebrated retirees and those earning emeritus status (recognitions highlighted long service and contributions). - ➤ The Lewiston City Library is hosting a free three-part writing workshop series taught by Lewis-Clark State College English professors on Tuesday evenings at 5 p.m. starting April 15, with sessions focused on writing poetry, novels, and nonfiction narrative — attendees should bring a writing instrument and paper. - ➤ Three students from Lewis-Clark State College placed second in an online case study competition and will receive $800 along with internships after finishing just 0.75 points behind the winning team from Chaminade University of Hawaii—marking LC State’s first year in the event.
