🚨 Crime
The Nez Perce County Prosecutor's Office is partnering with local businesses to distribute cup covers during Sexual Assault Awareness Month in April to help protect Lewiston residents against drink spiking.
The covers are available at Hops and Vine, Corner Villa, Brocks and Bravas, Jollymore's and Canters on Thain Road — after three investigations related to drink drugging led to assaults last year.
🎓 Education
The Idaho Department of Education distributed an extra $91.6 million in school modernization funds to local districts on Tuesday, April 22—money generated from School Modernization Facilities bonds approved by House Bill 521.
The funds add to an initial $1 billion allocation delivered by February and aim to improve school facilities and ease property tax burdens.
