Authorities arrested 37-year-old Guillermo Alejandro-Morales in Denver after he was wanted for eluding police and assaulting a federal officer in north Idaho — a joint investigation tracked him following warrants issued in March.

State Superintendent Debbie Critchfield visited Lewis-Clark State College during the Educator Career Fair—where school districts, charter schools and graduates like Hannah Henrickson met to discuss teaching opportunities in Idaho.

She stressed that smaller districts are keen to hire new teachers—an effort aimed at reducing teacher workload—to ensure fresh graduates have the support they need.

Lewis-Clark State College will confer 892 degrees and certificates to 753 graduates on May 9 at the P1FCU Activity Center.

At 10 a.m. the first ceremony will honor graduates from the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences and Career and Technical Education—while a second ceremony at 2 p.m. will honor graduates from the School of Professional and Graduate Studies.
