CRIME NEWS
- ➤ A Clarkston woman, 54-year-old Linda L. Penne, was arrested Tuesday at the Asotin County Courthouse for alleged stalking and violating a no-contact order—investigators say her repeated social media posts led to 21 counts and one felony stalking charge with bond set at $20,000. Dailyfly
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Angela Baldus was appointed as the new Assistant Superintendent by Lewiston Independent School District No. 1 and will begin on July 1 for the upcoming academic year 2025 to 2026. She brings over 18 years of teaching and administration experience with strong local ties (having served at Orchards Elementary and other local schools) to focus on academic achievement and community collaboration. - ➤ Clearwater Power Company announced a planned outage affecting over 1,200 members in areas including Uniontown and Genesee—repairs at the Port of Wilma substation will require shutting off power from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 31, marking the second extended outage this month. Dailyfly
- ➤ After a national search, Lewis-Clark State College named Chris Jones as vice president for finance and administration; he will begin on July 1.
