➤ The Tunnel to Towers Foundation announced it will pay off the mortgages for the families of two fallen first responders, Army National Guard Combat Engineer Frank Harwood—Battalion Chief John Morrison, who died Sunday, June 29th when fire crews were ambushed during a brush fire. Firefighter Dave Tysdal, who was injured in the incident, is now in stable condition after his third successful surgery. KLEW

➤ Idaho celebrated its 135th anniversary as a state on July 3—sharing lesser-known facts such as Hells Canyon being deeper than the Grand Canyon, Shoshone Falls dropping 212 feet which is taller than Niagara Falls, and the state growing more than one-third of the nation’s potatoes. KLEW
