- ➤ The Center for Arts & History at Lewis-Clark State College opened a free new exhibit – The Garden: Thistle & Thorn – that features eight artists using elements like light, water, air, earth, and fire in their work. - ➤ Fire crews are battling the Cherry Fire, a wildfire one mile northeast of Deary that grew to an estimated 30 to 50 acres after it was reported on July 14 at 9 p.m. Over 70 personnel with ground and air resources—including two Type 1 helicopters and additional aerial support—are fighting the blaze in heavy slash on active logging units while officials investigate the cause. - ➤ Idaho Attorney General Raul Labrador announced that the state may receive $2.6M from a national opioid settlement with eight drug makers. The funds will support drug court programs + NARCAN availability + treatment for opioid addiction. KHQ
- ➤ Idaho Attorney General Raúl Labrador said Tuesday the state could receive up to $2.6 million from a nationwide opioid settlement with eight drug manufacturers — 40% would go to the opioid fund, 40% to cities and counties, and 20% to public health districts. Dailyfly
