ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Emergency crews in Asotin County responded to three vehicle crashes Friday and Saturday — a rollover on 15th Street in west Clarkston, a rollover on the east side, and a T-bone collision at 4th and Harding Street — with one person transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and responders from Asotin County Fire District, Lewiston Fire & Rescue, and the City of Asotin working together. - ➤ On Sunday at 1:56 a.m., the Lewiston Fire Department responded to a structure fire at a residence on 606 Lapwai Road—firefighters used a backhoe to remove a tin roof and safely extinguished the flames with no reported injuries, though officials believe one or more dogs may have died and the cause is under investigation. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Police officers began a statewide crackdown on speeding to reduce road deaths—126 have died so far compared to 113 at this time last year—and the effort will continue until July 26. KHQ
