Sparklight is donating $1,500 at 8:00 a.m. Friday, July 31 at Grocery Outlet + 117 Thain Road in Lewiston to support the Independence from Hunger campaign that is 350 bags short of a 4,000-bag goal for local children facing food insecurity.
🎓 Education
The University of Idaho logged 139 Title IX contacts from July 2025 to June, but a spokesperson said most were informal reports & only three advanced to formal investigations.
The office plans to refile its legislative report using clearer language to align with other state colleges.
🌲 Environment
On July 25, the Army Corps of Engineers released cold water from Dworshak Reservoir near Orofino to lower river temperatures before the Clearwater and Snake rivers meet near Lewiston.
The move kept temperatures behind Lower Granite Dam at 66.1 degrees to help safeguard salmon and steelhead.
