Friends of the Lewiston City Library are looking for volunteers to join their Executive Committee and help raise funds for programs like the Summer Reading Program.

LC State College is streamlining its operations and expanding in-person services at the Bob and Leona DeArmond Building in Coeur d’Alene as part of a long-term collaboration with North Idaho College.
The college is adding new programs including master’s in nursing and cyberaccounting—efforts meant to meet local workforce needs—and will boost faculty presence in the region.

Idaho Fish and Game announced that August is busy for hunters as controlled hunt tag deadlines were on August 1 and more events will happen soon: the second application period will begin on August 5, leftover tag sales will start on August 6 and 7, the Super Hunt drawing application deadline is on August 10, the final application period will close on August 15, potential leftover tags may be released on August 25, and the general archery season will open on August 30—hunters should check the rules for details.
