- ➤ On Friday night, the Lewiston Fire Department responded at 10 p.m. to a grass fire in the 1600 block of 8th Avenue Boulevard, extinguishing a 40-by-60-foot blaze on a hillside within 10 minutes—crews stayed an extra 10 minutes to check for hotspots as investigators work to determine the cause.
