- ➤ On Tuesday, Idaho State Police began investigating a fatal crash on Highway 12 near milepost 17.5 — a Subaru Forester carrying two elderly Peck residents crossed the center line and struck a Ford Bronco driven by a 55-year-old Lewiston woman, resulting in one death, a serious injury, and a four-hour highway closure after a fire started. - ➤ Idaho State Police said a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 12 near milepost 17.5, about 14 miles east of Lewiston, killed an 80-year-old Subaru driver and injured his passenger and a 55-year-old Ford Bronco driver on Tuesday at 4:11 p.m.—the crash blocked the highway for four hours as responders cleared the scene.
