- ➤ Sparklight is launching its new Multi-Gig internet service in Lewiston and Clarkston to bring speeds up to 2 Gig for work, school, and fun. The service will use an eero router (with Wi-Fi 7) to boost home coverage and set the stage for faster speeds in the future. Big Country News

- ➤ A NASA research team that included University of Idaho physics professor Dr. Matthew Hedman discovered a new 6-mile moon orbiting Uranus using images from the James Webb Space Telescope—this tiny moon is the planet’s 29th and orbits near other small moons in a system that scientists are still studying. GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The 5th Street Reconstruction Project finished two weeks early as paving was completed last week and crews are now making final utility adjustments—City official Carol Maurer said the work will complete in early October. Dailyfly
- ➤ The Department of Veterans Affairs announced today over $46 million in grants to organizations in Washington and Idaho to help veterans who are homeless or at risk. The grants will fund services such as housing, health care, and financial planning through fiscal year 2026 — ensuring crucial support for veterans in need. KHQ
- ➤ Lewiston utility bill payments will be unavailable from Sept. 30 to Oct. 1 due to scheduled system maintenance—no payments will be accepted at City Hall, online, or through the automated phone system until about 12 p.m. on Oct. 1. KLEW
HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Starting October 1st, TriState Health will offer flu shots at its three clinics—protecting everyone six months and older as the flu season typically surges in December and peaks in February while Pullman Regional Hospital will also provide vaccines at several clinics.
