A report from Portland State University says that proposed cuts from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act could lower federal Clean Air Act funding for Northwest tribes, putting nearly $2 million for air quality checks plus over $530 million in tribal projects at risk.

The study found that from 2010 to 2024, federal programs gave over $20 billion in funds to support air and water checks, renewable energy, and land care.
