🎓 Education
Idaho families can now apply for a federal tax credit to help cover K-12 educational costs; they can donate up to $1,700 (or $3,400 if filing jointly) to approved Scholarship Granting Organizations.
The Idaho Department of Education will issue further guidance and update the list soon.
Idaho's colleges and universities asked for over $170 million in new building funds during a Tuesday advisory council meeting as they pitched major capital projects.
The funding proposals come from the Permanent Building Fund, which had only $72.5 million this year (after state cuts) to cover public projects.
