- ➤ The LC Ice Arena will host a Halloween-themed puck or treat event on Saturday, October 18 at noon on Sixth Avenue North — it will feature broomball at 11:30, a kids' carnival, face painting, a dessert auction, and a youth hockey game with LC Lightning 18u teams. After the game, families can enjoy a public skate while the arena raises funds to replace its chiller system. KLEW
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Lewis-Clark State College reached a record enrollment of 4,047 students this fall — a 4.3% increase over the previous record from 2011, with growth seen in several academic divisions including Humanities and Business & Computer Science. KLEW

- ➤ On Tuesday, the LC State Women’s Golf team tied for third at the College of Idaho Classic at Timberstone Golf Club when Dallis Shockey scored 78 and Taylor Mire shot 75 for top-10 finishes; the team ended 66-over with rounds of 323 and 319 and will play next at the Warrior Fall Invitational at Lewiston Golf and Country Club on Oct. 20-21.
