- ➤ Nez Perce County will close Palmer Parking in Lewiston from Oct. 22 through 31 for upgrades. County crews and contractors will add a new vault-style restroom building, an equestrian area, and improved handicap access — law enforcement will monitor the closure and tow vehicles that ignore the restrictions. HEALTH NEWS
- ➤ Lewis-Clark State College will host a free Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on October 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library parking lot near 7th Avenue and 5th Street—participants must bring medications in original containers while syringes, needles, liquids, and inhalers will not be accepted. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Grangeville senior Ila Wilkinson signed with LC State Women’s Track and Field to join the 2026-27 roster next fall — the thrower competed in shot put, discus and javelin, earning Field Athlete of the Year honors and Bulldog MVP at her school. Coach Mike Collins said Wilkinson is motivated to approach national qualifying marks and pursue a state title next season. Dailyfly
