- ➤ On Monday, medical education leaders from Idaho, Utah and Washington proposed plans to add hundreds of state-supported medical school seats to help ease the doctor shortage, including a new Boise MD program in partnership and a proposal by Idaho State University to purchase ICOM — efforts discussed at the Statehouse that call for increasing subsidized seats next year and building a statewide collaborative. - ➤ Today, the Idaho Lottery began selling 500,000 $10 raffle tickets for the annual Idaho $1,000,000 Raffle which offers two guaranteed $1,000,000 prizes, a $100,000 prize, a $50,000 prize and over 21,500 other prizes—tickets went on sale at 4:00 a.m. Mountain Time. The winning numbers will be announced on December 29 at 5:59 p.m. Mountain Time—players with early $1,000 prizes must claim them at the Idaho Lottery offices in Boise. Big Country News

- ➤ The Idaho Foodbank said food insecurity is growing in north central as rising grocery costs and economic challenges leave 14.7% of residents and 21% of children without reliable access to healthy food.
