- ➤ The Lewiston-Nez Perce County Airport has launched a food drive to collect canned goods, boxed meals, snacks and beverages for TSA agents working without pay during the federal shutdown — the donation drop-off is inside the main terminal near the airline check-in area and donations are accepted during regular terminal hours with Grocery Outlet providing initial support. ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ At 12:24 p.m. today, Lewiston Fire Department responded to a house fire on the 3000 block of E. Main Street and rescued two dogs while quickly containing the blaze; investigators are examining the cause with damage estimated at $10,000 to $15,000. Big Country News

- ➤ The Lewiston Independent Foundation for Education is hosting a raffle to fund river trips for local fourth graders who study Hells Canyon’s history, geology and science.
