- ➤ Habitat for Humanity’s L-C Valley chapter has built and improved homes in Nez Perce and Asotin counties for nearly 35 years—welcoming volunteers from all backgrounds—and this year marks the fifth annual Pumpkin Patch fundraiser that helps keep mortgage costs low. Executive Director Deborah Snyder said last year over 90,000 pounds of pumpkins were sold, and community members can visit the patch this fall to support affordable housing. KLEW
