On Wednesday, Lewiston Fire Department responded to a structure fire on 14th Street E—firefighters rescued a dog and controlled the blaze that caused about $150,000 in damage while the cause remains under investigation.

Idaho Fish and Game said an elk was shot on October 19 off Nuchols Gulch Road with no meat taken and a deer was illegally killed during closed season, and officials are asking the public to call for tip details—offering a reward for credible information.
