➤ Newberry Square celebrated its grand re-opening today when a ribbon-cutting ceremony began at 12:00 p.m. PST at 800 Main Street in downtown Lewiston, honoring local business, art and culture. The event will continue tomorrow with live music + champagne, special promotions and community activities organized by local partners. Big Country News

GOVERNMENT NEWS

➤ The Lewiston Police Department has launched the 2025 LPD Community Survey to invite local residents and business owners to share their views on public safety—feedback that will help shape its strategic plan for 2026 through 2030. The anonymous five minute survey remains open until December 6. Dailyfly
➤ The Lewiston Fire Department will conduct live fire shift training at 805 Stewart Avenue on November 10, 11 and 12 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A final controlled burn will be held on November 20 beginning at 9:00 a.m. — Stewart Avenue will be closed at Thain Road and 8th Street with local agencies supporting the exercise.
