American Insurance in Lewiston, with over 100 years of community service, will sponsor its 10th hometown food drive starting November 17th to collect over 20,000 lbs of food for local banks in Lewiston, Clarkston and Moscow.

More than 80 local business partners and their employees will join the drive to help those in need — board chairman John Sullivan said the event has grown from a small company effort to a large community initiative.

CCI/Speer will distribute free hams and turkeys on Tuesday, December 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the old Shopko parking lot at 2331 Thain Grade in Lewiston — organizers plan to give away about 500 hams and an unknown number of turkeys while asking drivers to use Thain Grade for entry and Nezperce Grade for exit and limit support to one item per vehicle.

Idaho officials have issued a request for information—titled 'Nuclear Development Incentives'—to ask nuclear industry representatives which factors would make the state more appealing for private nuclear energy investment.

Responses are due by 5 p.m. Mountain time on Dec. 12 and will guide state leaders in shaping future policies.

LC State Volleyball earned four All-Cascade Conference honors when Juliauna Forgach Aguilar was named First-Team All-CCC for the third time, and coach Katie Palmer praised the team for its strong performance — Ella Stosich, Teagan Scott, and Karissa Lindner also received honors, with three set to continue with the program next season.
