- ➤ On Saturday, Main Street in Lewiston was crowded with a veterans parade as local groups and veteran organizations marched with floats to raise homeless veteran awareness. Police and firefighters flashed their lights during the event—floats tossed candy—while VFW Sourdough Post thanked supporters. KLEW

- ➤ Lewiston Civic Theatre will present Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The Sound of Music from December 5 to 21 at the Old Lewiston High School Auditorium on 9th Ave in Lewiston — the production is directed by Becci Tank in her debut and features two casts of von Trapp children for different performance schedules. - ➤ LC State Volleyball returns to the national tournament for the first time since 2011 as Katie Hinrichs leads her team in its 13th appearance. The team will travel to Upland—where it will face the Taylor Trojans in the Opening Round and, if they win, advance to Sioux City for pool play from Dec. 3-9. Dailyfly
