- ➤ Idaho Fish and Game updated muzzleloader elk hunting rules for the 2025 season in the Palouse and Dworshak zones—Units 8 and 11A in the Palouse now allow only antlerless elk harvest near private agricultural lands from Dec. 2–14 while the Dworshak zone permits antlered elk hunting only for those with a controlled hunt tag. Unit 8A is split between spike or antlerless elk from Dec. 2–5 and spike-only elk from Dec. 6–14, and hunters must carry a valid license, elk tag and muzzleloader permit. Dailyfly
