AAA reports that Idaho's average price for regular gas has dropped to $2.99 as of Dec.
15, with Lewiston priced at $2.91, the first time since January 2024 that prices fell below $3. The report noted steady week-to-week drops and advised shoppers to use fuel rewards during holiday purchases.
🎓 Education
Innovia Foundation is accepting applications for its 2026–27 scholarship programs for students in Eastern Washington and North Idaho.

🌲 Environment
State officials from the Idaho Governor’s Office of Energy and Mineral Resources selected eight electric utility projects to receive $3.5 million under the Wildfire Resilience Investment Program.
The projects will begin in 2026 — finishing in late 2027 to help improve wildfire protection with fire-resistant mesh wraps and grid upgrades.
