- ➤ State officials announced that Idaho employers will save about $11 million in unemployment tax in 2026 after the base rate drops by 7.5% to 0.729% (the second-lowest since 1980) and the taxable wage base rises to $58,300. Dailyfly

- ➤ Today, powerful wind gusts in the Lewis-Clark Valley toppled trees onto roads and power lines in Lewiston and Clarkston, and emergency crews are using heavy equipment to clear debris while officials urge residents to avoid downed trees + hazards. KLEW

- ➤ The Lewiston Post Office is temporarily closed due to building damage, and PO Box services will resume on Saturday, Dec. 20. KLEW
- ➤ Avista crews began restoring power to about 71,600 customers yesterday after a windstorm knocked down trees and branches, and they continue working with outages expected to last over 24 hours. KLEW
