Moscow Police arrested 43-year-old Aaron S.

Hypes on March 27 at approximately 6:30 p.m. on the 1100 block of North Polk Street Extension in Moscow after coordinated efforts with Latah County and Idaho State Police — he is now held at Latah County Jail pending extradition for manslaughter, fentanyl trafficking, and persistent felony offending — authorities said.

A Washington man, Deanthony J.

Kimbrew, was arrested in Lewiston on March 27 after fleeing officers on foot during a drug investigation—police found 23 grams of cocaine, over $1,300 in cash, and a handgun and he now faces charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and obstructing officers.

A federal judge blocked the enforcement of a new immigration law signed by Governor Brad Little after the ACLU of Idaho filed a lawsuit, saying the law could let police record a person’s documentation status on suspicion of a crime.

The block stops the law for 14 days and a hearing is set for 10:00 a.m. April 10 at the James A. McClure Federal Building & U.S. Courthouse in Boise.
