Trevor J. Lunney, 39, from Clarkston was sentenced to 60 months in federal prison—as well as three years of supervised release—after threatening his attorney and a prosecutor and planning mass violence that included a school shooting and an attack at a county fair.

Lewis-Clark State College celebrated 15 prison education program graduates at Idaho Correctional Institution in Orofino Monday.

At a Monday night work session, the Lewiston City Council discussed a proposal to raise salaries by adopting a five-step scale based on tenure (council members’ pay would increase from $700 to $720 monthly starting January and to $745 two years later while the mayor's salary would rise from $80,000 to $106,300). Chair Bob Blakey recommended a 1.5 percent raise plus a cost-of-living adjustment every two years, and the council will revisit the issue in an upcoming meeting.

LC State Men's Golf senior Alex Navarro — a native of Spain — was named NAIA PING All-West Region by the GCAA after a spring season in which he won two tournaments and earned All-Cascade Conference honors.

He posted a 69.7 scoring average, won both The Warrior Spring Classic and the SOU Spring Invite, and finished as runner-up at the Cascade Conference Championships.
