At the Walla Walla Invitational, the No 19 LC State Men’s Golf team finished third after Sondre Andresen led with a fourth-place finish in a field of 50 golfers—coach Zach Anderson said the team struggled with cold putters but still gained a solid start.

The team shot 291 in the final round and will return to the Valley for quick fixes before heading to the Northwest Iowa Invitational on Sept. 15 and 16.

The University of Idaho will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the P1FCU Kibbie Dome this Saturday as the Vandals host the Utah Tech Trailblazers for their first matchup at 1 p.m. — special activities will honor the Dome and its football history.

LC State Volleyball recorded its best season start since 2010 with a 3—1 win over Walla Walla on Tuesday as the team reached a 6—0 record in Cascade Conference play; coach Katie Palmer said the strong middle attack, led by Karissa Lindner, helped secure the victory and they will host Warner Pacific this weekend.
